Berlin - a weekend in the German capital

There is so much space in Berlin, the streets are wide, only few people (this is in comparison to London!) around you, so much green (or soon to be green again) ... that's the first impression from this trip! The Museumsufer = museums island is amazing, on Saturday and Sunday there is an art market just opposite the Dome - inspiring and different. Shopping or window gazing is different from the same activity here in the UK, so many independent stores and shops, awesome!

We stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson at Alexander Platz - location great, hotel as such - ok-ish (needs some TLC, breakfast is awesome, so is most of the service personnel), price - amazing (we've got the hotel with a BA holiday deal) don't think the hotel actually got any money or BA flew us there for nothing ... take your pick! We arrived Thursday lunch time and went straight for exactly that one - lunch at the Schlögl's - easy, friendly and delicious! We all went for the same - the mix platter - and it wasn't a mistake :) Next stop - the Neue Museum, it's time to meet Nefertiti - she's so beautiful, stunning! ... and the museum as such is amazing as well - we went for a 44 EUR worth pass which included 72 hours public transport and entry fee to the museums on the island - recommended! After a drink at the Radisson Blu bar (aqua dom!) we finished the day at the Zur Rippe (ok-ish not necessarily a need to visit) ...

I will try to get the other days up tomorrow :)
