New Year's Eve - Pizza

I think it doesn't really matter for how many people you prepare pizza, it's an easy to make and super handy to eat dish and why not having it on New Year's Eve? The recipe is from a cookbook (Popina- book of baking) I use for years and I don't think there are many recipes in there, I haven't at least tried ... the pizza dough is one of the things I love if the fridge is full of things that might otherwise not go together ... so here is the dough recipe


Ingredients

  • 220 gr strong bread flour (it also works with rye flour)

  • 1 teaspoon dried yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 medium egg

  • 80 ml warm water


How to ...

Mix all the dry ingredients together, put in bowl and make a little well in the middle, add the oil, egg and water and knead everything until you got a smooth dough ...


As I love thin pizza, this makes two round pizzas for me. Split the dough in half and use a rolling pin to flatten the dough, then put anything you like (or what's left in your fridge) on top and bake in the preheated 220°C for about 8-10 minutes. That's it. Enjoy ... the pics below are from earlier today ... tomato purée, thin ham and a bit of grated Medium Cheddar ...
